Café Eleven, Drift Magazine, the SJCC, and the Closet are uniquely uniting the city’s growing contingent of up-and-coming fashion designers under an official one-of-a-kind platform that brings fashion to the forefront of North Florida’s culture. It is an up-close and personal look at the areas fashion influencers with music from local DJs, drink specials, Fashion Films and shopping featuring a range of jewelry, accessories and apparel from North Florida’s hottest designers. Over 20 local independent designers will be showcasing and selling their newest lines. Some are sharing their designs with the public for the very first time. Some are extremly skilled designers destined for commercial success. The Big Trunk Show encourages all new fashion designers by giving them a place to sell their work and create friendships and connections.

An exhibit that features depictions of ancient ships on coins from the Greek, Roman and Phoenician eras, along with detailed models of early modern ships and manuscripts related to famous sea battles. Admission is Free.

The artist’s reception will be held on Nov. 13 from 5-7 pm. This exhibition showcases our students’ work in a variety of media including animation, ceramics, computer generated images, drawings, glass art, graphic design, paintings, prints, and sculpture. During that time in the Photography Gallery will be the “Study Abroad Exhibition II in the Photography Gallery.” Students from both national and international universities participate taking courses in photography, language, art history and studio arts. Photography students study the work of Tuscan masters and create final portfolios of work inspired by the area. The photographs in this tow-part exhibition represent portfolios from student participants.

Aromas has remodeled and expanded to create a new dueling piano bar experience. In addition to the new location, Crazy 88s Dueling Pianos will be performing an extra day of the week. All of your favorite piano players will be performing each and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Enjoy a night full of your favorite songs and have an great time, while visiting the new and improved Crazy 88s Dueling Pianos at Aromas Southside.
